I WAS A TOTAL DIRECT SALES SKEPTIC

And for good reason.. I won't diminish my previous experience in direct sales and the experiences that others have when they sign up with a company that just isn't not right for them.

Not to mention the effects of upline leaders coaching their teams to send out those "Hey Girl" messages to people they have not spoken to since high school or even to complete strangers to sell them on products that they've never heard of!! So if you are reading this.. and are in direct sales.. STOP IMMEDIATELY!! SERIOUSLY.. do you know what you are doing to our profession?? You are giving it a bad rep for those of us that want to build meaningful connections with people!

LET'S ADDRESS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM:

It's understandable why direct sales companies often face skepticism. Skepticism arises from concerns about the quality of products, the sustainability of the business model, and the potential for individuals to fall victim to scams or pyramid schemes (WHICH ARE ILLEGAL so sit yourself down!)

One of the primary misconceptions about direct sales, including being a Shaklee Ambassador, is the notion that it's a get-rich-quick scheme. Many people believe that individuals involved in direct sales are simply looking for easy money without putting in genuine effort. However, the reality is quite different. Do you know how hard this mama works to be able to support her family, while making sure to be there to support her Shaklee team and her customers?!

I am not just talking about immediate transformation... but the residual building of confidence and power that someone can feel when they decide to make a change in their life and when they start to see their dedication to being a healthier version of themselves and the results of those decisions. Because friends, there is nothing harder than to convince a woman she is beautiful if she does not FEEL it.

And hey, a touch of humour never hurts when navigating the world of skeptics!
